Over 30 years of experience and a presence in the medical market
Since 1990, we have been distributing medical devices, delivering the highest quality solutions to the Polish market, tailored to specific medical procedures.
1990 r.
The beginning of the company
In the beginning, Skamex was formed by four people. At that time, we collaborated with three manufacturers – Becton Dickinson, Rüsch, and Unoplast. For the first eight years of our operations, we functioned as a wholesaler, importing medical devices to supply other wholesalers.
1999 r.
The development of Skamex
We hired the first three Medical Representatives.
1999 r. – 2002 r.
An intense period
We expanded our team of Medical Representatives, which from that point consisted of ten people in two divisions: General Medicine and Dentistry. Additionally, companies specializing in the production of specialized gloves, such as Sempermed and Cardinal Health, joined us.
2005 r.
An important innovation
We introduced Becton Dickinson's Q-syte needleless valves to the Polish market.
2008 r.
This year, the Medical Representatives team had grown to eighteen members. Three divisions were established: General Medicine, Dentistry, and Radiology.
2013 r.
For the first time in Poland, a ureteral bypass procedure was performed using the Detour set from Coloplast. We handle the distribution of this set. In the same year, we introduced closed systems for the preparation and administration of cytostatic drugs to the Polish medical market.
2016 r.
We organized workshops on penile prosthesis implantation, inviting a group of urologists from across Poland. During the workshops, the first hydraulic penile prosthesis implantation procedure in the country was performed using a Coloplast device. In the same year, we introduced an innovative solution in the fight against hypothermia – enFlow, a flow-through warmer for infusion fluids and blood products.
2019 r.
We established partnerships with Ace Medical, Sol-Millenium, and ICU Medical. Ace Medical's wide portfolio of elastomeric pumps enables oncological therapy using 5-Fluorouracil in both hospital and home settings, as well as effective pain management. ICU Medical specializes in innovative products for intravenous therapy and oncology.
2020 r.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we supported medical facilities by providing infusion pumps to the Barlicki Hospital in Łódź and personal protective equipment to CKD in Łódź.
2021 r.
This year, we introduced a single-use bronchofiberoscope from The Surgical Company to the medical market, available in two sizes: Broncoflex® Vortex and Broncoflex® Agile.
2022 r.
We expanded our portfolio with products from the Polish manufacturing company MARGOMED, which also became a part of the company.
2023 r.
We employ 19 Medical Representatives working in two main divisions: Surgery (general surgery, gloves, laparoscopy) and Anesthesiology (general anesthesiology, urology, oncology, intravenous therapy). We collaborate with over 40 manufacturers and offer hundreds of different products.
We introduce innovative solutions to the Polish market
We continuously analyze the global medical market, drawing conclusions from observed processes and selecting appropriate innovations beneficial for the medical community. We focus on identifying our clients' needs, building awareness, and proposing suitable solutions.

Oatmeal is used as a remedy to soothe itching and irritation associated with various dry skin conditions. In 2003, colloidal oatmeal received FDA approval for use as a skin protectant. In our offer, we present becare Art, which combines the properties of oats with diagnostic nitrile gloves.
